Seaside & countryside breaks

Our core programme funds two- to four-night breaks at holiday parks, caravans and self-catering cottages around the UK coast and countryside. We cover the accommodation and travel costs in full, and where we can we add a small spending allowance so the break is genuinely free of financial worry.

Breaks are booked around hospital schedules, school terms and care rotas — the point is a rest, not another thing to organise. Families tell us the effect lasts far longer than the break itself.

Carer respite

Unpaid carers hold families together, often for years at a stretch, and are usually the last people to get a rest. Our carer respite programme funds short breaks specifically for carers, alongside replacement care arrangements where they are needed so the person they care for is safe and comfortable while they are away.

Family referrals

We do not run an open application process. Families reach us through the professionals who already know them — social workers, health visitors, hospice and hospital teams, and school family liaison staff. That keeps the process light for families and helps our small team direct funds where a break will do the most good.
